Q: What
is required to be married by the clergy of the Anglican Rite Roman
Catholic Church?
A: Each
situation is different. You need to contact
the clergy.
Q: I or
my fiance(e) is divorced. What do we need to do?
A: If
either the bride or the groom has been married and divorced, before
you can be validly married, the divorced party or parties must
receive an annulment from a proper Church tribunal. Contact
us for more information on this process.
Q: What
is my fiance(e) is not Catholic?
A: If your
fiance(e) is not Catholic, you must obtain a dispensation from the
Bishop in whose diocese your marriage rite will be performed.
Q: If I
am not a member of the Anglican Rite Roman Catholic Church, is it
still possible to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony?
A: Yes.
Catholics who are not members of the Anglican Rite Roman Catholic
Church, as well as members of the Anglican Communion who are properly
disposed and are given permission, may also receive the Sacrament of
Holy Matrimony. However, please note that ecclesiastical
jurisdictions outside the Anglican Rite Roman Catholic Church may or
may not choose to recognize marriages performed outside of their
jurisdiction. It is the responsibility of each person from a
jurisdiction outside the Anglican Rite Roman Catholic Church to
obtain any necessary permissions required by the jurisdiction of
which they are a member before the marriage rite is to
take place.
